My life as an artist has been shaped by my passions...for graphic design and by the exploration of photography and painting.
As long as I can remember I have been creating in one way or another. As a child I was always drawing, painting, gluing, and practicing my penmanship. When I was in high school I took as many art classes as I could. In my junior year, I enrolled in graphic arts vocational training and received my two-year certificate in graphic arts. My mentor, Mr. Lorence, encouraged me to continue on in graphic arts. Many years later, I am eternally grateful for his guidance and support.
I had a long career working as a creative director for a marketing communications company in the Chicagoland area. I picked up photography as a hobby to document our travels around the world. My husband and I relocated to southern California and I now work as a graphic designer for a non-profit along with freelance graphic design and photography.
I returned to art after a long hiatus and I think now, why did I ever stop? Life just got busy and I am now at a point where I can dedicate more time to it. My husband is my biggest supporter :) We enjoy living in San Diego with our rescue dogs, Princess Smudge and Sir Winston.
